God's End of the Deal

Here's what I was told was supposed to happen:

1) God would reward my choices of high ethical conduct.
2) God would protect me from harm.
3) God would uphold my honor and prevent me from falling into ill-repute.
4) God would increase my wealth.
5) God would do it all as long as I stayed faithful to him and gave him control of my life .

At least that's what I was told.

Hey "Shelia",
What instigated this post? Are you having a hard time now? I hope not, but if so, remember, God's wealth and protection from harm are eternal items, not the temporal of earth. People get crapped on in this world. I hope you're not getting crapped on at the moment, but if so, feel better soon! :)

hmmm....

seems like the authors in the psalms struggled with those promises too.

not that that's an answer or maybe even consolation. i just have no idea of context.

should we pray for you?
